Review: Ugly Love

Ugly Love
Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ugly Love made me ugly cry. Not just a few droplets, the full blown Claire Danes mask.

Every book I read of Ms.Hoovers engulfs me in situations that always makes me squirm! This was no exception.

The writing of this story is beautiful. You get to fall in love twice with the same guy. Once from Tate’s POV. The second is a little more complicated.

Miles tells us his past in short poetic excerpts. The love he feels is like an anvil hit over the head.

The format even though it’s is two POV six years apart it didn’t feel jarring or gimmicky like some flashbacks. Both stories are so necessary my gut twisted every time I had switched stories.

I won’t go into any recap since there are thousands of really excellent reviews out there. I will say that it earned its 5 stars just like the rest of [a:Colleen Hoover|5430144|Colleen Hoover|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1333056335p2/5430144.jpg] books.

Although, I think my favorite of her books is [b:Maybe Someday|17788403|Maybe Someday|Colleen Hoover|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1383851073s/17788403.jpg|24878180]
